The Greatness of Nature
The Greatness of Being Human
The Greatness of Nature
We art part of the interrelated natural world along with all other organisms, but our size and roles in nature’s cycle of life, are just fractions compared to the great scale of the universe.
Inspired by the moving waves found in nature, the wind across the water surface, the motion of the tree’s crown, the flowing prairie on the open field, the installation represents the wind movement of the grass in a brief moment stuck in time. Everything is dynamic, constantly moving and changing in a symphony of life happening at any given time.
Transparent leather stripes impersonate a dynamic image of a moving wave, activated by the blow of the viewer. The public own breath is the one that activates the installation to light up, showing that even the smallest puzzle piece has an important role at the largest scale.
The Greatness of Being Human
At the large scale of the universe, we are small but each human possesses something unique that makes it extraordinary and unlimited in possibilities: our mind and our capacity to accomplish unique things.
Although our size is small and fragile, our mind takes us a long way. Inspired by the manmade machinery and factories, the installation is a reinterpreted version of nature in a mechanical way, to portray the way that we have influenced our surrounding environment.
Mirrors and reflected lights, with an overall industrial feeling, fill up the entire room relating to the endless potentials that the human mind reaches.
